Les Clavelles is the proper noun of a plot of 100 % Grenache vines on the western slope of the famous plateau of La Crau. The soil is typical with its worn flat pebbles, its reddish clay and its excellent exposure to the sun. This plot does not suffer from drought and is well-protected from the mistral. The wine has frank, explosive, vibrant fruit but with a less jammy grapheme than a lot of pure grenache cuvées. Its specificity comes from simple observation of the equilibrium found here, the clear evidence revealed by tasting the grapes and acknowledging the plenitude of this patch of vines that we phone call Clavelles, ("keys" in local terms). Information technology might appear that this plot, this wine, gave us the keys to what is unique in Châteauneuf – like the keys of Saint-Pierre plant on the glaze of arms of Châteauneuf du Pape.
The wine is effluvious and frail with a mix of red fruit, spices and garrigue in the bouquet. Racy and elegant in the oral fissure without heaviness, it has a independent, unpretentious power and there is great length. It is marked by a true purity of style and brilliance. This is expression without elaboration, showing what the grape variety in harmony with its terroir can offering in terms of balance and elegance.

La Fine du Château La Nerthe
For several decades Château La Nerthe has produced a brandy known as "La Fine" in the pure tradition of Châteauneuf du Pape'south fine wine distillation. Furthermore it comes exclusively from distillation of the Château'south own white wine. The vino is first bottle-aged in our cellars before being selected for distillation, we then perform a triple distillation in social club to obtain the finest, most delicate aromas possible. Our aim is to capture the essence of the old white wines that have given Château La Nerthe its reputation. Thus La Fine from Château La Nerthe is exceptional. La Fine of Chateau La Nerthe is the only Fine (Brandy) which is nonetheless produced in Châteauneuf du Pape. The other producers are making Marc.
Due to its origin, its extraction, its specifications and its maturation of no less than 10 years in oak barrels, La Fine du Château La Nerthe is the pure essence of our wines, the quintessence of our work and, in the stop, a fiddling of ourselves.
