Funny Tow Notes for People Who Park Im Your Street

Parking is an odd topic. It's mundane and ordinary in its nature yet it's bound to get us absolutely seething if people do it badly, do it in the wrong place or do it with the wrong badge. There are certainly endless politics surrounding the world of parking and it provokes the funniest reactions in people.

It appears that parking is one of the only scenarios in life where, stranger or not, it's perfectly okay to make other peoples' actions your business. Here are five notes that people have left on strangers' cars telling them exactly what they thought of their parking… and they're pretty funny.

1. Never park outside someone else's house
House owner Lynne King noticed that a car was parked on the street outside her house and wasn't at all impressed because that's where she likes to park. Lynne left a note on the offending car saying, 'Please can you park elsewhere when visiting instead of outside my house so I can park, thank you.' Fair enough, do you think?

The owner of the car thought not and responded to Lynne with a very sassy note highlighting exactly what Lynne should do to solve this problem.

It read, 'My car is taxed so I will park where I want! It's a public road and not your personal parking space. It is not a disabled space, so I am not breaking the law, which, by the way, you are, by parking on the path! If you want to park outside your house, have a drive put in!'

2. Never park in a parent parking bay… if you're disabled
When one mother was pretty miffed to arrive at the shops and see that all the parent parking bays were taken, she took it upon herself to police the area. To her dismay she did find a car with no baby seat inside and left the offender a strongly worded note saying, 'You are parked in a parents car spot, where is your baby? Next time don't park here!'

It turned out that the driver of the offending car was actually disabled and had used the parent parking bay when all the disabled spots were full. A passer-by saw the note, took a photo and posted it on Facebook. Shame on her indeed!

3. Never park in a disabled bay… if you're disabled
We all know that, to be disabled, you don't have to use a wheelchair or crutches. So when Justine Van Den Borne used her disability badge to park in a disabled space and, in an effort to try and combat the progression of her multiple sclerosis, walked to the shop unaided, she was upset to find a note left on her car saying, 'Did you forget your wheelchair???' How uncalled for! Again, Justine took to Facebook to air her anger.

4. Never EVER park in a disabled bay… if you are a mother and have a disabled child
Mother Naomi Barringer was running errands with her disabled daughter Kaitlynn who has a rare form of brittle bones. Naomi parked in the disabled bay to reduce her daughter's walk and displayed their family disability badge.
But one complete stranger was not happy with this and took it upon herself to leave a firm note… typed! This one is particularly unfair (underlining and bolding completely necessary).

5. And under NO circumstance should you ever straddle two bays
This awfully parked Daewoo Matiz was bombarded with not one but seven passive-aggressive notes informing him how his car was parked over two bays. One passer-by even drew him a diagram entitled 'How to park'. We have to admit, this parking offence ruffles our feathers too. That should teach him.

So there we have it – five examples where people think it appropriate to express their distaste towards others in note form. Can you imagine if we started doing that in other situations – say if we didn't like a person's outfit? Parking is certainly a strange one and is sure to fire up debates for a while yet.

For now, we advise you remain aware. It is highly likely that there is a note-leaver living near you.
